Transformer Fire Prevention System

The transformer explosion prevention system is a device designed to prevent explosions and fires by quickly responding to dynamic pressure peaks caused by insulation breakdown, thereby suppressing internal pressure rise. It operates by the rupture pin buckling immediately at its elastic limit, resulting in minimal operating error, long service life, high reliability, and low maintenance cost.

Features

Rapid pressure relief device for fire prevention
Operates up to five times faster than conventional pressure relief devices
Highly reliable with minimal risk of failure
Service life of approximately 40 years after installation
No modification or alteration required, as it utilizes existing equipment such as manholes or pressure relief valves

Operating Principle

A system that rapidly relieves pressure inside the transformer by quickly discharging oil through the buckling of the pin in the Rupture Pin Valve, thereby preventing fire and explosion.
The transformer fire prevention system is activated within 5.1 ms after a dynamic pressure peak occurs during an internal short circuit, preventing static pressure buildup and subsequent fire.

System Operation Process

Insulating oil → Electrical arc occurrence → Oil vaporization → Internal dynamic pressure rise → Dynamic pressure peak propagation → Dynamic pressure peak reflection → TFPS activation → Rapid oil discharge → Tank depressurization → Prevention of tank fire and explosion
