During the short circuit, our TEFP is activated within milliseconds by the first dynamic pressure shock wave, eliminating the explosion/fire risk by safely venting the transformer before static pressure can occur.
Specifications
A passive, non-invasive and non-fragmenting, Fast Depressurization system, with a full bore relief area to open to a downstream vent within milliseconds when triggered by a dynamic pressure wave thus preventing static pressure and build up and resultant explosion burst and fire. Each device shall be mechanical and utilize a predetermined, unalterable set point design. The Fast Depressurization system shall be designed with a gas/oil seperation chamber to collect oil and take away the gases to a far or safe distance with minimal shut down time in restarting the unit.
